South Africa has a Hague apostille system via DIRCO. Since UAE joined Hague in 2021, DIRCO apostille is now the standard for SA documents going to UAE — no more UAE Embassy Pretoria chain for most purposes.
HPCSA-registered doctors, nurses, and pharmacists working in UAE need DIRCO-apostilled credentials for DHA, HAAD, or MOH licensing. Arabic translation is also required.
ECSA-registered South African engineers working in UAE need DIRCO apostille for UAE engineering authority recognition.
